Amanda Wade began her real estate career 13 years ago, coming from a background in sales. “I had always been interested in real estate, architecture, and meeting new people,” Amanda says. “I just thought, now’s the time, and I decided to give it a try.” Amanda has been with Exit Realty Advantage for all of her 13 years in the business and, she says, “It’s been a great ride.”
Amanda serves Fredericton and the surrounding area. The majority of her business comes from repeat and referral clients, an impressive feat that speaks to the level of trust she inspires. “I’m very down to earth, open and honest,” Amanda says. “I’m not just in it for the sale. I’ll send people away from a house if I don’t think it’s right for them. I cater towards what my clients really want and need, and I try not to let them get stars in their eyes too much if it’s not the right property for them.” Her clients value her willingness to give them the facts and help them make an informed decision about such a major purchase.
The personal connections Amanda forms with her clients set her apart from the crowd. “I’m very social, and I love to take clients out to lunch and see them socially,” she says. “I want to get to know them on a more personal level, because it’s not just all business to me. Most of my clients become friends, and I like staying in touch with people and building that relationship.”
When it comes to marketing listings, Amanda takes advantage of all the tools available to get a home in front of potential buyers. She uses her website to promote listings, as well as sites like Realtor.ca and social media including Facebook and Instagram. In addition, she draws on the network of connections within her own company to find buyers. “We have a Monday morning meeting every week,” Amanda says, “where we discuss new listings we have coming up. Right now our market is very strong, so if anyone has a buyer for a property, usually they can get in and have a look at it right away.”
